Will E-books Take A Ride Over Printed Book

Its amazon which revolutionized the concept of e-book and selling e-books online providing instant downloads after payment, we already start to see a rise in sales in e-book readers all over the world, is it all signs that printed books will start to lose its fame soon or later?

Google library is an effort to make at least 50% to 70% books published from the year 1923 to available online, and also recent announcement from Google about the launch of Google Book Store which promises to offer electronic version books for sale to people via their server with the direct permission from publishers around the world is set to compete against Amazon.

We know very clearly that Google never made a wrong move so far, they have been so accurate in predicting what people will look for in future and provide them with appropriate products that makes Google to stand out of the crowd always.

To be frank I really think future will be a generation of e-books over printed ones, I may sound bit hard for people who love the smell of printed versions and I don’t say printed books will cease to exist, there are people and in fact a lot of people who love to buy printed versions and enjoy the feel of turning the page around, but in near future you may see a huge rise in people who start to read e-books.

Its always hard for us to accept the new changes that technology brings forth up on us but we cannot just deny this development and stick around with the past for long time. People love printed books I don’t deny it but the newer generations will start to move for e-books more than printed versions. Reason is simple e-books are easy and you can purchase one and also search for a appropriate one sitting right next to your PC.

If you ask me which one do I prefer? well I prefer both, there are e-books which don’t available in printed form and there are printed books which are not available online as e-books, to me its all a matter of what you are looking for, if you are looking for something that is not available for you in printed version then I don’t think its nothing wrong in downloading a PDF version and read on. At the end of the day what we need is just information to increase our knowledge.
