Even though the FTC has filed a lawsuit against Intel and the EU is also looking into antitrust cases, the FTC said it will not try and break up the company. This comes on the eve of speculation that the FTC would try and limit the powers of Intel to hig the market by splitting the company down the middle. However that is not the case as Richard Feinstein has said the FTC has “no goal of breaking up Intel.”

This doesn’t mean that Intel should relax, because as it turns out, Microsoft isn’t the only one who people are looking to milk in these hard economic times. Just goes to show what can happen when you become successful, everyone seems to want a piece of the pie.
