Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala vs Windows 7

If before the launch of Apple and IBM released a new offering, Ubuntu is now ready to turn into the PC market.
Canonical as a Ubuntu software developer, stated that Ubuntu 9.10 formerly known as Karmic Koala has reached version of RC (Release Candidate). This means that, this open source software is freely used by anyone for free and need one step more to the final version.
Based on the information released on the official website, the Final Version of Ubuntu 9.10 will be available starting October 29, 2009. The beta version of Ubuntu 9.10 until now can be downloaded for servers, desktops, and laptops.
Ubuntu 9.10 is upgraded from a previous version of Ubuntu 9.04 known as Jaunty Jackalope. Built on Linux kernel 2.6.31.1, ubuntu 9.10 boot time claimed to have a faster, more attractive appearance, and programming tools are more easily adapted.
This Ubuntu version 9.10, called Karmic Koala, during development also features Software Center Ubuntu that can add and subtract such programs existing features in Windows. Canonical also includes Ubuntu One, free online services and data sharing storage up to 2 GB, and 50 GB can be added at a cost 10 U.S. dollars per month.
