Quoridor iPhone Game App. Quoridor is a board game application for your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad (yes, it runs on all devices).
The purpose of this iPhone board game app is to reach first the opposite side of the board. To make slower the progress of opponents, players can put fences to make the path longer. When he has run out of fences, the player must move his pawn. The pawns are moved one square at a time and the pawns must get around the fences.
When he has run out of fences, the player must move his pawn. The fences placed cannot be moved afterwards.
These simple rules of this app do not make it a simple childish game, because a deep strategy is involved. Noneless this game won the MENSA award as best board game of the year 1997.
The game was invented by an italian guy (Mirko Marchesi) and produced by the french company Gigamic; hence the french name of the game which means ‘tunnel’; the App is produced by another italian which is Mirko’s friend.
It is a game app for people which want do a challenge game, but play in a short period of time because each game lasts about 40 game turns, making a full game that last 7 minutes more or less.
